Douglas:
Hello, I'm Douglas. I'm a partner at AG Capital. We're a group of companies in Brazil. We focus on tax compliance and we talk about payroll.

Shaked:
In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges that we face today?

Douglas:
They're related to our current situation about hybrid work and engagement.
It's been a real challenge for us and I think it's a challenge for everyone.

Shaked:
The fact is that 70% of the world's workers, they're actually Non-desk employees. How do you think that we can enhance engagement for these type of employees?

Douglas:
Well, the way in is probably mobile.
They all have mobile phones on their pockets, not desktops, but mobile phones.

Shaked:
What would be the main thing to focus on to increase employee retention? How can we increase the engagement?

Douglas:
Mostly flexibility and scalability on the tools you're using.
The solution for one person is not going to be the same for another person, and if you're going to spend time finding the right solution for everyone over a thousand employees, it's not scalable, it's not feasible and we need technology to solve the problem.

Shaked:
But if I'm a small business owner, I have only 20 employees. How can I use technology or should I use technology to enhance those type of things?

Douglas:
Yeah, of course. You just got to find the right business model. There are models for every kind of business. Everyone can can get into that.

Shaked:
Any tip that you want to give to new managers? Something you wish that you knew earlier?

Douglas:
As much as you can share the benefits of the work with the workers, they've got to feel their effort being transformed into something more. And that really motivates people.
