Web Developer

We are looking for a Web Developer to join our team. We want you to join our marketing department at one of Israel’s most promising startup companies!
You Are:
A creative person with a passion for all things frontend and a commitment to user experience.
A natural-born leader with the ability to bring ideas to life and create engaging experiences. You have a fine eye for detail, the ability to precisely execute on designs, and the know-how to fill in the gaps when necessary. You love building from the ground up, and also know how to maintain projects in the long run. You’re constantly looking for ways to improve codebases and test new tools and ideas.
You enjoy working closely with marketing and creative teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
Ownership & Responsibilities:
- Own frontend projects A-Z, both on the main website and on our other web properties
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to gather information, understand the end goals and strategize solutions, with the business goals in mind
- Collaborate closely with our R&D department on product/marketing touchpoints
- Advocate for improvements to our properties in terms of quality, security, and performance
- Have a long-term influence on our marketing workflows and internal processes
- Integral to the planning and building of a new and modern marketing website, leveraging React and a decoupled architecture
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and their respective ecosystems – REQUIRED
- 3+ Experience with WordPress development, including custom templating in PHP – REQUIRED
- 1+ years of experience with the React ecosystem – REQUIRED
- Experience with Next.js or similar SSR framework – Advantage
- A deep understanding of semantic HTML and accessibility – Advantage
- A deep understanding of web performance and technical SEO – Advantage
- A strong understanding of component-driven design and development
- Deep experience translating designs at any fidelity into code
- Ability to understand the pros and cons of different architecture decisions and choose the best option
- Ability to surface potential issues long before they become problems
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- A high level of comfort with a Git-centric workflow and continuous deployment
