All-in-one field service software for trade teams managed by office staff, as the mobile app experience is very limited.
Verdict: 6.7/10
Joblogic is a field service management platform ideal for companies needing job scheduling, asset tracking, engineer dispatch, and real-time job update tools. Its cloud-based system supports both office teams and field engineers, with features like digital forms, asset tracking, customer portals, invoicing, quoting, and compliance tracking.
The platform shines in centralizing workflows, improving visibility across jobs, and offering responsive customer support. It also provides solid asset management features and decent scheduling and dispatching. The customer portal is a good value addition.
It’s especially useful for HVAC (heating, venting, and air conditioning), plumbing, and maintenance businesses looking to streamline operations.
However, access to the free trial requires a demo and qualification, and the mobile app is limited to engineers, while admins can hardly do anything from it. It also may lag in low-signal areas and lacks essential features like GPS tracking, geofencing, and automatic clock-ins/outs. The mobile app’s interface feels dated in some places, too.
In addition, Joblogic comes at a higher price than competitors while offering minimal additional features. I would suggest that businesses that aren’t super focused on asset management and customer interaction but want a great field-service workforce management solution look elsewhere.
Key Features:
- Job scheduling & dispatching: Quickly assign jobs to engineers, view schedules on a calendar, and manage urgent calls in real time.
- Asset management: Track, maintain, and record service history for customer and internal assets.
- Quoting, invoicing, & payments: Create professional quotes and convert them into invoices—process by integrating with a payment provider.
Mobile app for engineers: Engineers can receive job details, log time, upload photos, complete digital forms, and collect customer signatures on-site. - Customer portal: Allow clients to log in, view job progress, access documents, and communicate with office staff.
- Custom forms & compliance: Build and deploy digital forms for risk assessments, safety checks, and compliance documentation.
- Purchase orders & supplier management: Manage supplier relationships and generate purchase orders (POs) directly from the system with a built-in approval process
- Time tracking & timesheets: Log engineer hours automatically or manually for accurate payroll and performance reviews. Admins can approve via the web-based version.
- Reports & dashboards: Generate reports on job status, financials, and performance metrics.
Pros
- Solid feature set for job scheduling, asset tracking, and compliance
- Responsive customer support via phone, email, and live chat
- Good desktop experience for office-based staff
- Custom forms and customer portal improve field and client communication
Cons
- Mobile app is very limited and can struggle with poor connectivity
- Outdated interface in some areas
- Free trial only available after demo and qualification
- Limited data visualization and no AI-driven analytics
Joblogic Pricing
While I wasn’t able to get a free trial of Joblogic, I did reach the demo stage, where I was interested to learn more about the platform’s pricing.
Joblogic’s pricing isn’t transparent, which can be frustrating for prospective customers and definitely was for me. Despite multiple attempts—including submitting web forms, sending follow-up emails, and even contacting live chat support—I was initially unable to get a clear pricing breakdown. However, a few minutes before I submitted my review, I was sent pricing details by the sales rep who conducted my demo.
The Joblogic website includes a pricing page requiring you to request pricing. But the sales team first calls you and then typically requires you to sit through a demo before they discuss costs, and they do that only if you are the end user.
According to the pricing page, the Standard plan starts at $59, but it’s unclear whether that’s per user, per license, or a base rate. When asked to clarify, the sales rep confirmed that it is per user and all plans are billed in advance annually.
Also, I was informed that there are separate one-time training and implementation charges. Sometimes, users on the Premium and Enterprise plans get this fee waived.
Team size | Joblogic (Basic) | ServiceM8 (Growing) | Kickserve | Connecteam (Basic) |
---|---|---|---|---|
View pricing | View pricing | View pricing | View pricing | |
10 Users | $590 | $79 | $100 | Free for life—All features and dashboards |
20 Users | $1,180 | $79 | $167 | $29 |
30 Users | $1,770 | $79 | $250 | $29 |
50 Users | $2,950 | $79 | $250 | $39 |

* All prices show the monthly cost when billed annually as of August 2025. |
Accordingly, Joblogic’s starting price point appears significantly higher than alternatives like Connecteam, which provides all features free for 10 users and a Basic Plan starting at $29/month for up to 30 users, and ServiceM8 that has a free plan for 1 user and a Growing plan starting at $79/month.
Joblogic’s per-user pricing is a minus for me, as costs can quickly add up, and I don’t think the platform offers enough features to justify the higher price.
The lack of upfront pricing is a definite downside, too. When I must go through several steps and wait a while to get basic information about a platform, it’s a no from me.
Verdict: 3/10
Joblogic Usability and Interface
Joblogic’s interface is designed to be straightforward and functional. However, based on user reviews and my limited exposure during the demo, it’s clear that the usability experience varies depending on the user’s role and technical background.
During the demo, I found the dashboard intuitive enough to navigate, with clearly labeled tabs for scheduling, job tracking, invoicing, and asset management. But some menus felt a bit dense and may require a short learning curve for first-time users.

User reviews echo this mixed sentiment. Many praise Joblogic for its clean layout and the ability to customize workflows, especially in field service operations. Office staff generally find the desktop interface easy to manage, but engineers using the mobile app have reported occasional lag and difficulties syncing data in low-signal areas.
And a few users also noted that while the system is powerful, it can feel “clunky” or complicated in certain sections, particularly the reporting features.
Overall, Joblogic seems to balance functionality and ease of use, but it could benefit from some modern interface enhancements. For new users, especially those coming from spreadsheets or paper-based systems, the tool’s structure offers a much-needed upgrade, but I noticed that training and implementation are required to set up—something that isn’t necessary with options such as Connecteam.
Also, no considerations seem to have been made for hearing- or vision-impaired users, which I always consider a drawback.
Verdict: 6.5/10
Mobile app
I haven’t used Joblogic’s mobile app personally, but I reviewed user feedback and the platform’s help documentation to understand its functionality and performance.
In my opinion, the app’s practical functionality is very limited.
Engineers can receive job alerts, view job details, update statuses, add photos and notes, collect digital signatures, complete custom forms, and record time and parts used.
However, they can’t view a list of all assets, access a calendar view, view any reports or job costing details (they can add numbers to their jobs), or directly chat with customers.

Admins can barely do anything from the mobile app, as it simply isn’t made for them. According to Joblogic’s help center, the app is meant to streamline communication between office staff and field workers, ensuring real-time visibility across teams.
While many users appreciate the convenience and core functionality, several reviews mention issues with lag, syncing delays, and difficulties uploading photos, especially in low-signal areas. Some also feel the app’s interface could be more modern and intuitive.
Overall, I give the app an average rating because it allows engineers to do basic tasks when it’s functional and not lagging.

Joblogic’s Core Functionalities
Job scheduling and dispatching
Joblogic’s job scheduling and dispatching tools help field service teams stay organized.
You can create one-off or recurring jobs, assign them to engineers using a calendar or list view, and filter everything by date, customer, or location. You can attach instructions, set priorities, and link jobs to customer sites or assets. Once a job is assigned, engineers get notified straight away through the mobile app.
However, I was disappointed that there’s no built-in GPS tracking or advanced route planning (though there is basic route optimization). So, Joblogic might feel underwhelming if you’re looking for something super dynamic or more visual.

One of the stronger points here is how structured everything is, but again, the interface could use a refresh. It gets the job done, but the drag-and-drop isn’t as smooth as what you’d find in more modern platforms like Connecteam, which also offers a cleaner layout and better mobile experience.
Verdict: 6.5/10
Asset management
Joblogic’s asset management feature is one of the areas where the software shines, especially if your business handles a lot of maintenance work tied to physical equipment.
During my demo, I could see how easy it is to log individual assets for each customer, complete with service history, warranty information, and linked documentation. You can also assign planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to these assets, which is great for businesses with ongoing service contracts.

What I really liked was the level of detail you can capture. Every asset can be tied to specific job sites and jobs, so nothing falls through the cracks. It’s clear that this part of the platform is built with long-term service visibility in mind.
However, reviews mention that managing assets in bulk isn’t super intuitive. Importing large numbers of assets or editing them across multiple locations can be troublesome, too.
Overall, if asset tracking is a core part of your business, Joblogic offers solid, reliable tools for it.
Verdict: 8/10
Quoting and invoicing
Joblogic’s quoting and invoicing tools are also pretty solid if you want to manage everything in one place.
I liked that you can create a quote, send it to the customer for approval, and once accepted, convert it straight into a job. From there, it’s easy to turn the job into an invoice once work is done.
You can also pull in job details, materials, and labor costs automatically, which saves a lot of manual entry and is a plus point for me.
That said, I did find some limitations here. The invoice templates are a bit rigid, and customizing the layout or branding isn’t as flexible as I’ve seen in other tools.
Still, if you want end-to-end job-to-payment visibility, Joblogic does a decent job—just don’t expect fancy formatting.
Verdict: 8/10
Time tracking and timesheets
Joblogic’s time tracking and timesheet features are designed to help managers monitor how much time engineers spend on each job.
From the mobile app, engineers can log their working hours, travel time, and breaks. It’s straightforward and ties directly into each job, which makes reviewing billable hours much easier. The office team can then review and approve submitted timesheets before exporting them for payroll.
What I liked is that it’s all tied into the job flow, so engineers don’t have to bounce between different apps to log time. But it’s definitely more manual than I expected. There’s no automatic clock-in/out, geofencing, or GPS tracking to verify locations and hours, prevent time theft, and keep lone workers safe on sites. These are features I’ve found and loved in Connecteam and other more comprehensive tools.
So, while it works fine for capturing time in a controlled setup, Joblogic might feel limited if you’re looking for smart reminders, automation, or geofencing.
Verdict: 7/10
Customer portal
Joblogic’s customer portal is helpful for improving communication and transparency between service providers and their clients.
Customers can log into a branded dashboard to view live job updates, download compliance certificates and service reports, approve or reject quotes, and even access invoices and historical data for their sites or assets.
Clients can see real-time job progress, track upcoming visits, and stay informed, cutting down on back-and-forth. You can also tailor what each customer sees, which adds a nice layer of control.
From a functional perspective, the portal is fairly comprehensive, apart from built-in messaging and instant notifications. The downsides are that the portal isn’t available on mobile, it can be time-consuming to set up, and it doesn’t have the most modern-looking interface.

Even so, for businesses handling recurring jobs or long-term service contracts, the portal is a nice addition that enhances client relationships.
Verdict: 8/10
Job costing
With Joblogic’s job costing tools, field service businesses get a clear picture of each job’s financial performance.
The platform allows you to track all costs associated with a job (such as labor, materials, parts, subcontractor fees, and other expenses), so you can understand profitability on a detailed, per-job basis.
When a job is created, you can input estimated costs and expected income. As work progresses, engineers can log their time, record materials used, and note any additional charges through the mobile app or desktop system. These entries automatically feed into the job costing report, making it easy to compare actual costs against initial estimates.
One of the strengths of Joblogic’s job costing is the clarity it offers in breaking down labor versus material costs, along with real-time visibility as the job unfolds. However, it lacks visualizations to see breakdowns, which I think is a noteworthy limitation.
Verdict: 7/10
Purchase orders and supplier management
Joblogic includes purchase order (PO) and supplier management features that help businesses control procurement and keep track of materials and stock across jobs. You can create and send POs directly from within the platform, link them to specific jobs, and track their status through to delivery and invoicing.
The system also enables you to manage a list of suppliers, associate materials or products with specific vendors, and monitor stock levels at different sites or vans.
What’s particularly useful is the ability to generate POs on the fly, whether you’re creating them in advance or responding to job-specific needs in real time. Once items are received, you can mark them as delivered and reconcile supplier invoices against the PO, ensuring accuracy and preventing overpayment.
For me, the downside is that Joblogic doesn’t feature any dynamic pricing engine or bulk order automation.
Verdict: 7/10
Joblogic Security Features
Joblogic provides several security features to protect your data and ensure operational safety.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available at the company level, allowing admins to require users to verify their identity via email each time they log in. This adds a strong layer of account security.
Additionally, role-based access controls enable granular permissions. Admins can restrict features based on user role, limiting visibility into sensitive data.
Joblogic operates on Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform, which boasts reliable backup routines (every 5–10 minutes) and enterprise-grade data security. Data encryption is implied via HTTPS on Joblogic’s web services, and its privacy policy outlines secure handling of personal information and controlled data sharing with third-party systems.
Moreover, Joblogic complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and supports data protection requirements for EU and UK organizations. However, there’s no specific information about the platform being compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Verdict: 7.5/10
Joblogic Reporting & Analytics
In addition to the customer portal, which offers some basic reports to customers so they can see job progress, Joblogic offers various dedicated reporting and analytics features.
Users can generate reports across job performance, engineer productivity, asset history, invoicing, quotations, and purchase orders. The system includes both pre-built templates and custom report options, allowing teams to tailor outputs to their specific key performance indicators (KPIs).

According to user reviews, generating standard reports in Joblogic is relatively easy and doesn’t require technical skills. The interface allows users to filter by job status, date range, site, customer, and more. These filters make it simple to pull targeted insights quickly.
However, some users feel the reporting functionality could benefit from deeper customization and a more visually engaging layout. The lack of advanced data visualization tools is a noted drawback for users who are used to dashboard-driven insights.
Despite these limitations, Joblogic provides valuable insights for operational decision-making. Managers can track overdue jobs, monitor job completion times, and analyze engineer efficiency. Financial reports help with cash flow forecasting and identify high-value customers or services.
I did notice that Joblogic currently doesn’t offer any AI-driven features, which I feel detracts from its performance for modern businesses.
Overall, the reporting engine does the job but will likely feel basic for users looking for a modern, analytics-heavy experience with interactive dashboards and advanced forecasting tools.
Verdict: 6.5/10
Joblogic Customer Support
Joblogic offers a range of customer support options, including phone, email, and live chat during UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM GMT).
Users often highlight the responsiveness of Joblogic’s support team, noting that queries are handled professionally and in a timely manner. In my experience, they were very prompt—I received a helpful, detailed response to my email within just a few hours.
However, that was my initial email. Once I asked for pricing details or accessed the live chat, responses took a while, and some users had the same experience.
As for the process of booking a demo, I found it frustrating. Instead of allowing direct scheduling, a Joblogic rep first calls you and asks questions before setting up the session, which can be inconvenient if you’re looking for a quick overview.
That said, once I got through to the demo stage, I was denied a free trial because they only grant free trials to the end user. I found this highly inconvenient.
Beyond standard support, the company provides a comprehensive online help center with step-by-step guides, video tutorials, and FAQs covering everything from system setup to advanced features.
Joblogic also offers one-on-one training sessions and onboarding assistance. This is part of only the higher-tier packages, though; you must pay extra for on lower-tier plans.
While my experience wasn’t the best, most people have reported a good experience with Joblogic’s customer support, and I appreciate that the company offers multiple support channels. For these reasons, I’m giving an average score.
Verdict: 7/10

Joblogic App Review
Joblogic is a field service management app with solid scheduling and asset tracking tools. It’s best for medium to large businesses in HVAC, plumbing, and maintenance that have dedicated office staff coordinating field teams.
However, it’s not ideal for small teams, solo tradespeople, or businesses wanting quick setup, a sleek modern interface, built-in analytics and automation, or a low price. Pricing isn’t transparent, support is inconsistent, the mobile app can lag, and trial access requires attending a demo.
